LS.0030-00: Watching a ghastly sunset over the Sweetness Valley. A thick haze of forest-fire smoke creates the odd hue & poor visibility. In summer '04 a warm dry spring & hot dry summer conspired to produce a record season of forest fires in interior of Alaska, Yukon & BC. High pressure pushes smoke laden air back to the east & over the coastal mountain ranges B.C.
